Kevin Youkilis, a 1997 graduate, and the only major league baseball player in the history of Sycamore High School, recently announced his retirement from Major League Baseball.

Youk has officially retired after 10 major league seasons that included two World Series titles with the Boston Red Sox in 2004 and 2007. The three time all-star wants to focus on being an all-star husband and father.
